The USMRTC has access to an extensive network of instructors and professionals with the experience and talent to offer select individuals, their agencies and groups the opportunity to develop situation critical skills in school, remote area, personal and tactical operations. All our staff are qualified and ready to provide personalized training for those eager to work, ride and play where others fear to tread.

Captain Grant Mitchell

Captain Grant Mitchell with a three year old Rock Mountain Horse in mounted trainingUSMRTC Commanding Officer Captain Grant Mitchell is a nationally recognized equine communicator and master trainer, having trained hundreds of horses using his gentle, non-threatening technique that achieves spectacular results by building upon a foundation of trust and communication between horse and trainer.

Capt. Mitchell also has a long history working alongside law enforcement, security agencies, emergency services and schools. Local departments and agencies have turned to Capt. Mitchell for guidance in preparing for school hostage situations, critical VIP escort, presidential candidate security, celebrity escort and related specialized training. Thanks to his detailed instruction, adventure travelers and professionals have survived armed attacks.
